ipping a glass of wine by the pool or experiencing the magic of the night in medieval villages, with music, shows and events.

Chianti in summer is the right place to forget the stressful rhythms of everyday life and enjoy a well-deserved rest in contact with nature.

"If you like open air experiences, this is the right season for you!"

Venture along the via Romea, the ancient path that once connected Florence to Siena, crossing the entire Chianti region. Or enjoy exploring the many routes of the Chianti Classico Hiking Trail Network, alone, with your family or friends: you will find all kinds of itineraries in every municipality.

If, on the other hand, you love mountain biking, the white roads of Chianti are waiting to put you to the test: from the trails in Castelnuovo Berardenga, to Greve and Radda in Chianti, explore the heart of Chianti Classico on two wheels.

The cooler hours are perfect for visiting Chianti attractions surrounded by nature. Such as the Chianti Sculpture Park, a permanent exhibition of contemporary installations and sculptures, which in July hosts musical concerts and outdoor activities; or the art installations in the village of Pievasciata that will leave you speechless.

In the warmer hours, on the other hand, you can take the opportunity to visit important museums such as the Giuliano Ghelli Museum in San Casciano Val di Pesa, the Archeological Museum of the Chianti Senese in Castellina in Chianti, and the Museum of San Francesco in Greve in Chianti.

And when the days get too hot, cool off with a dip in one of the pools of the region: from San Casciano Val di Pesa to Greve in Chianti they will allow you to spend a day of total relaxation.

At night, treat yourself to a unique experience by visiting the Chianti Observatory, in Barberino Tavarnelle and admiring the starry sky.

Summer in Chianti is also the season of events: the villages host festivals and events related to traditions, history and culture, especially wine.

Among these, not to be missed are: the Chianti Summer, a festival of performances, music and contemporary art organized by the Chianti Classico Consortium, the evenings of Calici di Stelle, in Castellina in Chianti, but above all, the Expo del Chianti Classico, in Greve in Chianti which closes the summer on the second week-end of September, celebrating the Tuscan wine culture and the local production of Chianti Classico wine.
