Ring of the Pesa

Municipality Greve in Chianti

OUTDOOR / TRAILS / CHIANTI

The route starts from the hamlet of Panzano, known for its Sunday morning market and its square with a fountain, which is exactly halfway between Florence and Siena (as indicated by the medallion on the ground around the fountain, created and casted by the judge’s foundry).

Along the itinerary is the chapel of the Madonna delle Grazie to which the local faithful turned for miraculous healings.

Afterward, the trail winds along the Pesa valley until it reaches the river of the same name, past farmhouses, farms, and beautiful vineyards.
